How dare they call this remake monstrosity The Monster Squad. Word is Paramount Pictures is remaking the 1987 film with Rob Cohen, who produced the original, as he hopes to direct the remake. Cohen will produce with Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, and they’re meeting with writers. Is Michael Bay out to destroy horror and our childhoods? I can't stand this shit anymore. They needed to give the rights back to Fred Dekker and let him make the sequel he had invisioned. This film should just be called Van Helsing 2- Big Fuckin Explosions. And that is what my ass wants to do now.

ReplyDeleteIt's not a complete loss just yet. There's always the off chance that Michael Bay will smote by the wrath of a pissed off Transformers fan before this travesty occurs. He could be the first person in history to be die from lethal assault with an Optimus Prime action figure.
ReplyDeleteI just bought the original on blu-ray for 8 BUCKS at Wal-Mart. I absolutely adore this film. Yeah remakes are inevitable, just like STD’s we can’t seem to eradicate them from existence. ;P
