Ghostbusters 3- Will It Actually Happen?

HorrorBlips: vote it up!

For months now, we have been getting small bits of news and info regarding Ghostbusters 3. The biggest news thus far has been that the original cast will reunite and that Ivan Reitman will direct.
Well now it seems that Colombia Pictures wants to go with an un-named younger director. However, Reitman has a lot of creative control per his contract, including approval of director. What makes things even more complicated is the fact that he, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and Dan Akroyd have veto power for any part of the project they dislike. While this may not sound bad, if any of them disagree with anything, it can kill the project because everything must be unanimously approved. So just another roadblock for the film. One thing I would like to know from our readers, do you think this movie would perform well this day in age and do you even care if it gets made?

  1. Personally, the first 2 movies were classics by themselves in the 80's, so bringing part 3 today would be, um CG 3D FX heavy? Unless the story is good and not a backseat to CG FX cos i KNOW there will be plenty of, maybe, just a big MAYBE ill consider seeing it.
